Reuters reports that the future is looking bright for small businesses. They have been steadily growing and increasing in size, and are projected to continue. The numbers speak for themselves. Small businesses have increased more than triple percent from 2006 to 2007 alone. Small businesses are often ruled by minorities. Women, Asian Americans, African Americans and Hispanic Americans are all contributing to the tremendous growth. In the beginning stages of the recession, in 2005-2006, small businesses created 2.5 million more jobs.

The outlook looks great for small businesses. As being an important contributor to the nation’s economy, it will likely be considered in future economic and business policies. Owning or starting up a small business doesn’t sound like a terrible idea. It’s done wonders for the country, and more importantly, for our citizens.
